Al-Taj News – The International Monetary Fund announced, on Tuesday, that its team of experts and the Jordanian government reached a staff-level agreement on the sixth review of the economic reform program supported by the Extended Fund Facility, and the third review under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility, allowing Jordan to obtain financing with a total value of approximately 294 million dollars, following the completion of both reviews and the approval of the Fund’s management and its Executive Board.
The head of the IMF mission to Jordan, Ron van Rooden (Cesar Serra), said in a statement issued at the conclusion of the mission’s visit to Amman during the period from October 21 to November 3, 2026, that the performance of the economic program remained strong despite ongoing challenges and elevated levels of uncertainty resulting from the prolonged war in the Middle East.
Serra explained that Jordan met all quantitative performance criteria and most structural benchmarks for the sixth review, while making steady progress toward achieving the program’s overall objectives, whereas the three reform measures due under the third review of the Resilience and Sustainability Facility are on track for completion.
